Common resources an arbitrary concept in the capitalistic world where possession is everything. When competition is imbibed and cultivated since birth collectivism becomes an alienated concept. Yet, we are dependent on these common resources for our survival. Be it sun, air, water, jungles, oceans etc. Though we have divided the land and the rivers but we still do not own them or if we do it’s a collection. Just for an example, the Ganges is not owned by any person, or state or even a government. It flows down from the Himalayas, meets tributaries from Nepal and eventually meets the ocean in Bangladesh. Similarly, I can probably dig a well and claim ownership to all the water that is being extracted but do I own the entire groundwater? No.

Given how all the existing economic models have failed to reduce inequality, save environment and provide lasting peace and tranquility there is an urgent need of a new economic model. This discussion thread calls for various economic models to be discussed and presented

We are slowly approaching the point of no return. Various scientists and activist have developed various theories to mitigate or reverse the damage done. Under this category we would discuss all these theories, examples, challenges and help develop implementable solutions.

Covid 19 has rattled the world and fissures across all the sectors have developed into cracks which are exposing the underbelly of the major crisis which was waiting to surface. However, this crisis has pushed millions of lives across the world to the state of despair be it food security, access to healthcare services, access to clean water, employment, mental health etc.
This space will focus on threads which will be working towards finding solutions to all these immediate challenges.
